Alberto Vázquez
Graduated in BA (Hons) in Film & Video and Foundation Studies of Art & Design by The Surrey Institute of Art & Design, England. Editor for TVE1, ANTENA 3, TELE5 as editor. Produces, writes and directs shorts.
As Artist-Educator he´s developed mediation and educational programs in Musac, Museum of Contemporary Art of Castile and Leon, Museum of Contemporary Art Patio Herreriano de Valladolid, Museum Network of Lugo, Fine Arts of Bilbao, Contemporary Art Museum Gas Natural Unión Fenosa of A Coruña, Pontevedra Museum, Art Centre of Alcobendas, CGAC, Galician Centre of Modern Art and Museum of Galician People (Museo do Pobo Galego) both in Santiago de Compostela, in addition to 4 years as an educator artist in residence with his own workshop of Espacio Rojo in CA2M, Art Center Dos De Mayo de Mostoles in Madrid. Co-founder of the non-profit Espacio Rojo organization since 2004, he manages projects and programs in the field of culture, education and social action.

Carina Moreira
Graduated in Fine Arts by the National School of Fine Arts of Buenos Aires, Argentina and Gestalt Therapy by Team Psychotherapy Center in Madrid. Trained in Waldorf Pedagogy by the Rudolf Steiner Foundation, Pedagogical Aptitude by the Complutense University of Madrid, and “Creative Expression and Education” by Arno Stern.
As an Artist-Educator-Therapist, she develops mediation educational projects and social innovation programs and such as at the Pediatric Oncology Unit of the Monteprincipe Hospital, as well as at the Maria Maeztu Women’s Equality Center in Madrid, Patio Herreriano de Valladolid Museum of Contemporary Art, Lugo Museum Network, Fine Arts Museum Of Bilbao, Contemporary Art Museum Gas Natural Unión Fenosa of A Coruña.
She has obtained artistic residency grants and exhibited his artistic work (Painting, Photography and Sculpture Ceramics) in Madrid and Latin America. She writes and publishes articles on artistic education and therapy.
Co-founder of Espacio Rojo since 2004, she manages projects and programs in the field of culture, education and social action.

Abstract:
In this paper we present a series of art projects developed in the paediatric oncology unit of Madrid Montepríncipe Hospital. In it, their professionals work in a coordinated manner by adapting the protocol for the child in order to individualize treatment, highlighting the creative process as an important part in the comprehensive care of the patient. Presentation of case studies, methodologies and procedures used.
